How one voice became many
The HKVC was originally founded in 2011 by a group of choral music lovers as a youth performance ensemble. After earning numerous international competitive medals, the HKVC has successfully evolved into a trusted professional hub that connects local universities, schools, and global music organisations to deliver training at the highest standard.
Supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, we are now a premier, S.88 registered charitable arts and educational organisation. We are dedicated to world-class choral excellence, advancing global musical exchange, and passionately advocating arts for life.

As the Founder and Music Director of the Hong Kong Virtuoso Chorus (HKVC), my vision has always been to build a world-class music organisation that redefines Hong Kong’s choral culture through uncompromised artistic excellence.
We fiercely champion the highest standards of vocal artistry. By commissioning innovative repertoire from local composers and hosting elite international choirs, we actively elevate our city's global cultural standing while nurturing globally-minded leaders. For us, elite musical distinction and deep social impact are intrinsically linked. True artistry requires rigorous training, and we believe this transformative experience must be accessible to every talented young person, completely regardless of their socioeconomic background.
Through our flagship initiatives, including the Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival (HKICF), full scholarships, and subsidised programmes, we are systematically dismantling financial barriers and shifting our city's musical landscape away from competition toward high-level collaboration. Within our ensembles, young musicians do not just master complex vocal technique; they learn to listen with precision, practice empathy, and develop the absolute confidence required to command both the international stage and life's challenges.
